Flavours of North-East At ROSANG.

Whats on my plate?? North-Eastern cuisine.

If you love to experiment with your palate or love North eastern cuisine, this is the place to be in Delhi. The newly re-launched restaurant, serving the north eastern cuisine under one roof is one of its kind in the area.
From the moment you step into the restaurant to the last dish you will have, you will feel like you have travelled to one of the north eastern part of the country and enjoying your meal.

The aromatic ambiance and dim lit restaurant is a pioneer place bringing the entire north east cuisine under one roof.
I was invited to the launch of this place and tried few of the chef’s special dishes.

To start with we tried a flower based beverage which was spicy, sour and sweet.

We were served Momos followed by other appetizers.

This was more like fritters infused with manipuri chives. It had all the authentic flavours and was crisp.

Nghui Ngosing – This was Boneless fish wrapped in banana leaf. Fish Minced stuffed and cooked with tomato, lemon grass for that zest.

Main Course

Bai – This is a vegetable stew with herbs and spices. The secret ingredient were the north eastern spices. The dish was healthy and tasted well with Rice.

Masoor Dal – Lentils cooked well with special herbs for authentic flavours. If you are a lentils lover, I am sure you gonna relish this.

Ngatok – This special dish from Arunachal is no oil fish curry. This as well had indigenous herbs and spices.

Chaak Khao – Ever heard of red rice? Try our this Manipur’s scented red rice cooked with white rice. Completely loved semi sticky rice with masool dal.

Ended our meal with non-alcoholic beverage.

Wild red rice tea – Red rice aromatic flavours served with jaggery and lemon for sweet as well as sour taste.

I was flabbergasted with the kind of hospitality and with the warmth the owner greeted me. Everything on the plate was cookes in house and fresh with no preservatives to spoil authentic flavours.

Coming back to this place again soon.
